Nationally-Recognized Experts
in Truck Accident Litigation

Truck crashes aren’t like car accidents, and your trucking accident lawyer shouldn’t be like any other personal injury lawyer. It takes a dedicated trucking attorney to handle the complex process of litigating a truck accident case, including working with experts to reconstruct the accident and the events leading up to it, collecting and managing medical records, securing expert medical testimony from doctors and surgeons, uncovering all the existing evidence, and going up against big insurance companies — both at the negotiating table and in court.

Because successfully handling truck accident cases requires a unique set of experience, resources, and dedication, the attorneys at Seattle Truck Law practice with a sole focus on cases that involve large trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles. Thanks to our commitment to this area of the law, our trucking accident lawyers have drawn national recognition for their expertise, and other attorneys throughout Washington and beyond frequently work with us on truck and bus crash cases to seek the best possible results for their clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do Your Attorneys Handle Cases Outside of Washington?

Yes. Our attorneys have handled trucking accident cases throughout the United States. We have an extensive network of attorney contacts, and we use the best local counsel to file suit in states where we are not admitted by the state bar. Residents of any state can contact us regarding injuries they have suffered in a large truck or bus crash.

Q: What Is Your Firm’s Track Record in Trucking Accident Cases?

Our attorneys have a history of successful recoveries on behalf of our clients, including judgments and settlements in excess of $1 million. Please visit our case results page and our testimonials page for more information about our track record.

Q: How Much Does It Cost to Retain the Services of the Attorneys at Seattle Truck Law, PLLC?

We operate on a contingent fee basis for personal injury cases, which means that you will not pay attorney’s fees unless and until we make a recovery on your behalf. (Washington state law requires clients to be responsible for case expenses at all times.)

If a recovery is made in your case, attorney’s fees and case expenses are deducted, and then you receive the balance of the award or settlement. We accept a fixed percentage of the funds that we recover; our fees are in line with industry standards and typically range between 25 to 40 percent of the total recovery, depending on the complexity of the case.

Q: What Is the Definition of Negligence?

Negligence, as it’s defined under the law, occurs when an individual (or legal entity) fails to exercise the care that a reasonable person would exercise in similar circumstances. If a person fails to act in a safe and reasonable manner, he or she may be held liable for any resulting damages.

To have a viable trucking accident claim, the victim must have been harmed by the negligence of an individual or other legal entity; this could be the truck driver, trucking company, and/or another party.
